The oil pressure switch shorts the signal wire to ground when the pressure is OK. The wire goes to the cluster. There is a wire colour change at an intermediate connector but that's it. For the dealer's oil pressure test to mean anything in this case, they would have to take the measurement whilst the light was on and that isn't the standard

Probably the source is referring to intake flaps. Not sure which 1.6 engines had them - mine does not but mine is not BlueMotion. You might want to pop the hood and check the intake manifold if there's a motor bolted onto side of manifold. Doubt it was ASV.
